Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to manage and supervise all engineering, maintenance, and technical operations of a hotel / restaurant property. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of all building systems, guest safety, statutory compliance, and uninterrupted hotel operations.

Responsibilities

* Oversee maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, elevators, and firefighting systems
* Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house
* Manage and supervise engineering staff, technicians, and outsourced vendors
* Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards, fire & life safety norms, and statutory regulations
* Handle emergency breakdowns, power failures, water issues, and urgent repairs
* Maintain maintenance logs, AMC records, and technical documentation
* Control engineering costs, energy consumption, and maintenance budgets
* Coordinate with Operations, Housekeeping, and F&B teams for smooth functioning

Qualifications / Skills

• Technical qualification (Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electrical/Mechanical or Civil Engineering).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in hotel or hospitality engineering.
• Strong knowledge of hotel maintenance systems and safety standards.
